A few years ago my son was born and life as we know it changed dramatically. If you are a parent you know what I am talking about. Changing diapers, feeding, getting him washed and dressed, and so on – all things a grown-up has to adjust to. Next we know it is time to find a daycare or maybe a nanny. Going out with friends and trying to find a babysitter on a short notice? Impossible in most cases – especially with no family living close to us at all.
 
Over the years babysitters came and went and none of the girls we had was available longer than 6 months. I guess your best shot is to find a babysitter age 13 and keep her until 15 – that’s when friends and cell phones and text messages and learning how to drive a car take a higher priority. That’s when I learned about nanny services and babysitter services. Suddenly it is easy to schedule a babysitter and for some people even to find a local nanny or a live-in nanny. It might be a notch more expensive, but you also buy more experience and background checks and CPR trained people. Well worth in my opinion.
 
So, I started writing down things as a guide for friends and family until somebody suggested to make a website about babysitting and nanny services and well … you found it. This is the result of my experience and knowledge about babysitters and nannies, how to interview them, how to find them in the first place and what to be aware of in general.
