I already talked about that Sittercity has over 1 Million babysitters and nannies in their database. Of course this spreads out across the entire service area they have. Depending on where you live you might have a larger or a smaller selection available. That’s why it is very comforting to know that each Sittercity account comes with coverage of two free ZIP codes. This has proven to be sufficient for most families. If you are having problems finding a babysitter in your main zip code area, you should check your account to see if you’re making use of both zip code locations.
When you sign up with Sittercity you get an account where you create your own profile and where you post jobs. To make sure you get the most out of your account you log in to the “My Sittercity Dashboard”. From there you click “Manage My Account” next to your profile picture and click “Locations & ZIP Codes”. If you only have one primary ZIP code selected, you can then add another one for free! Rest assured you are not locked in. Initially these 2 zip codes are locked for 6 months, but you can make changes down the road. And if you should move in between you can get in touch with their friendly customer support and update your account. Of course they do not want this to be abused and you should only do so if you really have moved or never find a babysitter in your local area. Also, your primary zip code never locks so that you can always adjust your account.
